Mosaic Site Creator's Mailing list allows you to add email subscription forms to your site and send mass emails to all subscribers. You can create an unlimited number of mailing lists, and visitors can subscribe to one or several of them. You can control subscriptions by enforcing email confirmation on subscribing to a given mailing list or manually editing the list of subscribers.

Mosaic Site Creator mechanism for processing of Mailing List emails ensures priority sending of the messages of Business Accounts and fairer logic for processing of all mails on the queue.  For Personal Accounts it is essential not to send more than 200 emails at a time as otherwise a huge delay may be observed in processing all the mails sent from personal accounts.

Mailing lists also allow you to restrict the access to the whole site, a given page, file or original gallery image only to subscribers. You can additionally set automatic email notification for mailing list members when new updates are published on a given page. The mailing list provides automatic unsubscribe interface which can be appended at the end of each message. Here is how it all works:

How to add a mailing list subscription form

In order to allow users to subscribe to some mailing list from your website you will need to add a Mailing List subscription form. Like the Hits counter, HTML Snippet and Forum/Blog, the Mailing List form is an Advanced element that needs to be enabled before it may be added on a page.

    • Roll-over the Control Panel icon in the top right corner in Admin view and select Advanced Elements.
    • In the dialog that opens select Mailing List Form and press Update.

    • The option for adding a Mailing List Form will now appear under the menu option of content element icons on the page.

    • Note that the Advanced Elements are enabled per working session. So, the next time you login and wish to be able to add an advanced element - you should repeat these steps.

To add a Mailing List Form to a page select Add >  from the Area  icon or other content element icon. A popup will open where you may define the Mailing List Form properties.

    • From the Mailing List dropdown choose the mailing list to which the visitors who submit this form will be subscribed. To create a new mailing list choose [New Mailing List] and type a name for your new mailing list in the adjacent field that shows up. This name will be used to identify your mailing list when you refer to it in Forms or other areas on your site.
    • The Alignment defines the position of the mailing list subscription form on the page.
    • In the Email Field Prefix you can specify the text to be displayed just before your subscription form. E.g 'Enter your email in this box'.
    • The Button Label is the text on the button that the visitor should press in order to get subscribed to this mailing list after s/he has filled in an email address.

From all options, only Mailing List is mandatory. After you fill in this form and press Add the mailing list subscription form will appear on your page. To make it visible to the public you will need to publish it by clicking on .

Once the mailing list form is available on your web site, visitors can start subscribing to your mailing list.

    Additional mailing list features

Mailing lists have many traditional usages, but in Mosaic Site Creator we have added a few more. You can restrict access to your site or any given page only to the members of a given mailing list. Check the Access Control section of Page Properties and Advanced Site Properties for more details. Similarly, you can set restriction for access to individual resources such as an original gallery image or a file added in a File Area.

You can also use the mailing list functionality to set automatic notification to all members of a mailing list when new updates have been published on a given page from your site. This option is available in the Special Features section of Page properties
