Can I have my Mosaic Site Creator website hosted under my own domain?
Yes, Mosaic Site Creator provides the option to make your site available under your own registered domain. Visitors browsing the site will see your domain in the address bar on any page of the site.
Can I register a domain through Mosaic Site Creator?
We don't provide domain registration services but we recommend registering through Mosaic Domain Names becauseit's very easy to set up with Mosaic Site Creator. Of course, if you already have a domain name we can also make that work.
Can I set up my domain to open my Mosaic Site Creator website by using domain redirection or URL forwarding?
We recommend to use a directly pointing your domain to Mosaic Site Creator's IP address 209.128.123.196 by modifying the A record for the domain.
Forwarding or redirection are not recommended options as they may cause the page URLs and Site Title on your site not to be displayed properly.
I can't locate the DNS management options at my registrar's website. What should I do?
The interface for managing domains is different with each registrar. If you can't locate the DNS management options and set up your domain as, let us know which registrar you are using and we'll try to provide further help.
It is possible that your registrar doesn't provide an option to manage DNS directly from the website. In this case you may consider transferring your domain name to Mosaic Domain Names because we offer full DNS management options.
I am required to enter Name Servers for my domain. Which are the Name Servers I should enter?
If your registrar offers DNS control capabilities (as Mosaic Domain Names for instance) you should use their parked servers as Name Servers for your domain. Otherwise you should arrange for DNS hosting and file the DNS servers of your hosting company as Name Servers for your domain. Mosaic Site Creator offers web hosting, but DNS hosting is not included with your account. We can however provide DNS management services through Mosaic Domain Names.
I have set up my domain according to the instructions, but my website doesn't come up when I type in the address.
DNS updates require up to 48 hours in order to get fully propagated. If your site is not showing up under your domain after this period has passed, contact us for further help.
When I access my domain I see Mosaic Site Creator's home page.
Please make sure you have filed your domain names in the My Domain section in Site Properties for your website.
- Go to Admin view of your Mosaic Site Creator site. From the Control Panel
icon choose "Site Properties" - Your domain name(s) should be listed in the "My domain" field so the setup can be properly completed.
